March and April

Well I haven't blogged in a while, but I've had some fun events take place that I thought you should know about!

I sang in the Talent Show in March, and that went really well.
Our ward went on a Temple Trip at the end of March to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the opportunity I had to go.
Our Relief Societies went to Bridal Veil Falls at the end of March and had a picnic/nature walk where we had our two advisers speak to us about the history and importance of the Relief Society to celebrate the Relief Society's Birthday!! It was a lot of fun and those sandwiches were SO good.

For the first time, I went to the Festival of Colors at the Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. Every year to celebrate the incoming of Spring, they have a Festival of Colors full of singing, chanting, dancing, and CHALK THROWING! It was probably one of the most intense moments of my life. Kind of.... haha We decided to get right in the middle of the crowd and when everyone threw their chalk, my wash cloth went over my face and I held on to my two friends so I wouldn't get lost. And we were surrounded by tons of scented chalk smoke for about two minutes. Then it was like a Woodstock party minus the weed smoking and naked people, but some guy did come up to us and hugged us and said "We made it through the colors together". Nevertheless, it was a fun trip with people from the ward and my clothes are stained pink from the chalk still.

We had our ward closing social at Springhaven Lodge. It's always sad to see everyone go. And it feels like we all got really close this Winter semester. Or maybe it was me, just not willing to get to know anyone Fall Semester. But I love them all and had a fun time with them! The pizza was delicious!

General Conference was really good this time around but I will have to listen or read the talks again and again. There was a constant theme of family that I recognized and overcoming fears and trials. Me and some of my friends dyed Easter eggs, and then me and my friend Austin built egg-drop contraptions and launched them off in the snow/hail storm. It was fun.

Me and Austin and a corner of Jesse, dying eggs!

I am getting ready to move out of my apartment and put everything into storage. It's kind of hectic because my room is small and I need to move the finished buckets out. I guess I can put them in the living room in a corner or something. I'll be back in the ward come Summer so I won't be gone for too long, and hopefully a lot of the people will still be there. I'm working on studying for finals, which have come too soon. I'm not ready for them-- but I will have to be. And then I'll be going home for 2 1/2 months. I'm looking forward to being at home!!
