I have seen the Pursuit of Happyness before but I watched it with my roommates last night and forgot just how good it was. It's a story of perseverance, hope, faith, and self-reliance. I was really touched by the movie-- again-- and felt the resolve to be a better person. There are so many people in the world who lose their jobs, go into debt, have families to raise, and things just go wrong. They find themselves homeless, hungry, and without hope.
The Church constantly tells us to be self-reliant. That means in all areas, Education, Health, Emotional and Spiritual health, Finances, etc. I value Education. I see why it is so important and I delight in learning. The more education I can get, the better off I will be.
Hope- is something that we all lack. Faith- is something that constantly needs to be reignited in all of us. There are two sides to life. We can choose to look at the bad in situations or the good. I would personally rather look at the good. I've had trials in my life, but I've always looked back and seen what I've learned from them and how I've grown. Even the bad situations in life have always given rise to something good.
All I'm trying to tell you is. Be happy. No matter what the circumstance try to see the good around you. You might not feel sunshine and rainbows immediately but trust me you can find happiness if you pursue it.
