My life in a blog.

I just wrote on awesome paper for my Service class. It really made me think back to how I used to serve when I was a kid and I'm so grateful to my Dad for taking me along when we cleaned up the tornado debris during a storm that came through Hazel Green/Meridianville that one year. That memory has always stuck with me.

So for everyone and anyone who cares, this blog is to update you on my life goals for a minute. Just so you get a feel for what I want to do with my life.

My major is Biological Science Education and I'm pursuing a Minor in Business. I want to teach High School Biology and for some reason, I really want to teach in an inner-city school because 1. I think it's a challenge 2. And I love all kids regardless of where they live. I am planning on going on the Washington Seminar in the Summer of 2011, interning in something that will either boost the education aspect or Business aspect of my academic areas. I am also considering doing Teach for America. I will most likely be student teaching in Washington D.C. in 2013 as my final semester at BYU. I am a Program Director for Y-Days at the Center for Service and Learning at BYU. I love it!! I am planning to apply for Service Council this Summer and an Executive Director for BYUSA (student Government) this Summer as well. I'm PLANNING again PLANNING to go to Harvard for Grad School and Master in Human and Developmental Psychology.

There are so many things that I want to do while I'm here at BYU. And if I can find the time and means to fit them in, then so be it. Granted, I know that things can happen along the way ;) But I know that if I have a plan, things will happen the way they are supposed to happen.
So this just gives you a taste of where Jessica is headed.

Also considering the avenues of working for the U.S. Department of Education, LDS Family Services, or Humanitarian Services, but most of all, I want to be a Mom :D
