Decisions

It seems that being wise in decision making is a prominent topic in the Church.
I'm hearing more and more about it every Sunday in Church, in General Conference talks, just in everyday life.

So I've begun to reflect on my decision making process. I try to include the Lord in all of my decisions. Because the Lord knows exactly who I am and what I am capable of, I want His divine guidance in my life. When I pray, it should be with a purpose. Whether I am asking for direction or just to be able to find peace and confirmation in the choices I have made, I want to include my Heavenly Father in my life.

Every year, my perspective on life and the world changes. When I was in high school it was all about what the latest trends and fads were. Today, I focus on how I can use the talents and gifts that I've been given to build up the kingdom of God and to become more spiritually in tune to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. I can hold the highest title in the world, but that would mean nothing to God. I would rather hold a name and standing in my Father's presence than in the world's.

Today has been an amazing Sunday with wonderful speakers, lessons and testimonies. A great way to end the day with a CES Fireside by Sister Elaine S. Dalton. If we stand for truth and righteousness our world will be a better place.
