Yesterday on the way to school I was walking down the sidewalk that is beside the RB well actually it's across from Helaman Halls and directly in front of the Tanner Building.. Anyway.. that's besides the point. I was walking to school, and there are people in front and behind me.. I have my hands in my jacket pockets because it was so cold!! I was minding my own business.. (La de da de da) when all of a sudden, I fell on the ground and I didn't take my hands out of my pocket so I pushed myself up with a fist and got up off the ground and walked to the cross walk and continued onto the next sidewalk. How embarrassing, I know. But you know what, people fall all the time if you want to laugh at me go ahead, I'll laugh right along with you. I grew up a clumsy kid and I think I'll stay that way. I have scars all on my knees to prove the many times I've fallen.
I remember as a kid Mom told me not to walk on the cement blocks that were out back behind the garden, of course I didn't listen and I'd run on them all the way to the end and then run all the way back. I think I formed some kind of method of how I was going to make each run down the blocks different, maybe it was skip every other block?? Who knows that's probably why I have some OCD thing with doing things a certain number of times. I would run on those blocks and then fall off and my leg would get this huge scrape on the side from those cement blocks. I remember going to preschool with bandaids all down the side of my leg.
Then there was a time when I fell off the stairs that were in our garage. If anyone remembers our garage in Hazel Green the way the stairs were laid out was ridiculous. You didn't step to the front to go down the stairs, you stepped to the side. Weird right? So I was supposed to give Mom the car keys and I stepped out of the door and fell off the stairs/big brick thing and I remember grabbing a hold of the metal bar on the garage door trying to do something, that would have sliced my fingers off probably.. That fall left a nice scar on my right knee.
Now I have fallen many more times than this. I'll just give you a run down..
The time when I tripped over a speed bump in the parking lot of Ogle Stadium with my Marching Band pants on and tore a hole in the pants and got dirt stuck in my knee from the asphalt (it's still there). There was the time when I slipped on water in the lunchroom in 7th grade in front of everyone (that resulted in an Ooooohhh from the students). The time when it was raining and I slipped in the band building and fell and then got up and fell again.
I hope you enjoyed the stories I have told you of my falls. I think it must be hereditary for me to fall in awkward situations or to have a weird story behind it. My Mom and Grandma have better stories than mine!!

LOL LOL, sorry, but you described it so funny!! I thought that I was the queen of falling, but I turn my septer over to you! Too funny with your hands in your pocket and the speed bump! I think I have fallen twice with your mom and then once your mom fell when we were leaving Brandie Lyon's house. I think you were with us. Too funny. We tried to help her up and she wouldn't have it!
I just fell last week on the new floor in the kitchen. I was going pretty fast with socks on and slid right down, BAM, face down. I started laughing, but Rob and Michael both had to help me up. Glad you are ok.
Lots of love!
