I hate being sick.

This morning was the first time in forever that I have been sick. Stomach virus, thank you for letting me miss my first day of classes that I needed to go to. Anyway.... Hopefully I will be better by tomorrow because I have a job interview at 10:15 and a whole day of classes. Lord bless me with the strength to be healthy.

Well thinking back over 2010, which are things that everyone has blogged about recently I'll add my two cents. Things that I've learned and I've enjoyed or hated:

1. I have an anxiety disorder and I've had one since I was a kid but I was never diagnosed. However, I cope with it very nicely and take blue pills -- no not Viagra you sickos. HA! Dealing with anxiety without knowing what it was, was a very hard trial in my life. My Mother stuck in there and was strong and I came to know my Heavenly Father more than any other person and more than at any other time in my life. I testify to you that he exists and loves each one of us and knows us by name.

2. I drove a car more than once and they were not mine! At least I can keep up my driving skills.

3. I fell in love with a boy that I adored only to find out that there were things that would make it impossible to work out. My heart was placed on a wobbly shelf as I call it. And I still think about him every day.

4. I cheered more for the Crimson Tide than I have ANY other year and I detest Auburn more than I have any other year.

5. I got my GPA back up after I had a rough Winter semester and learned to appreciate the Life Science Department and the love they have for their students.

6. I became addicted to Planet Earth and Blue Planet.

7. I watched The Golden Girls consecutively every night at 12:00am until the show was over and stayed up until 2am every night during Fall Semester because I could get more work done.

8. I got an A- in a class that I never read the readings and wrote papers based on small amounts of facts that I gathered from about two or three pages. The Lord has blessed me with the talent to write and I'm thankful for the writing training I had at Austin High.

9. I went home for three months almost last Summer and I learned that I loved reading more than anything else. And I grew to love running as a way to cope with stress. I also learned that Alabama is not the same anymore and I don't know how I managed to survive in that small city.

10. I learned that the work of the Church is to help individuals come unto Christ and receive salvation for their souls. I reached out more than I have any other semester in my calling and I felt the Lord prompting me and inspiring me to do things for the girls that I had never thought of.

11. I am grateful there was not a lot of snow during Fall semester and I got out of Utah when it was dry.

12. I love BYU Basketball and I am glad I got to sit on the fourth row during the BYU vs. Mississippi Valley game.

13. I love pine cones and give them as gifts. You must be special if you get any.

** I plan in 2011 to be more focused on individuals in classes, in my calling and in my ward. I want to be a better Disciple of Jesus Christ and show Him of my loyalty to Him. I want to be better about reading the scriptures and praying every day. I want to be a better person this year.
