Day 07: Someone who Has Inspired Me.

I was trying to think of someone who has had an impact on my life.... and the first person I thought of was Martin Luther King, Jr. But I was trying to think of someone else that had made an impact.. and I thought of this man right here:

Mr. Holloway, or as I called him back in high school Mr. C to the H-Way. He was my Chemistry teacher in High School and he was AMAZING. He had a super brilliant mind and this incredible capacity to connect with high school students. I loved his class and I loved how he approached teaching the subject of Chemistry. It's definitely not easy... I don't remember him raising his voice in class but about 2 or 3 times the whole entire school year. He would try to "hook" people up for Prom and to go on dates when he found out who they liked. He knew the lingo of our age and the hottest music artists. He expected the best of us. I remember one time I went to go get my graded test for conversions and he said ," Did you study for this test? And I said.. nope. And he said oh, well it shows, and it was an A". He scared the crap out of me but I really appreciated his encouragement. He has inspired me to be a great teacher when I teach Biology and I appreciate all that he has done for me. Even when I got into college I e-mailed him and told him I was scared of my Chemistry class and he said , "You should do fine..." He's great and I'm glad he came to Austin High.
