The World We Live In

So I'm watching this show on ABC called, "What Would You Do?" And it's actually really interesting.

They stage different events, college hazing on a busy street, and even a homeless person in need of an ambulance. They watch the reactions of people walking by and wait around for someone who is brave enough to take a stand for what's right. I'm surprised of how hard hearted people are.
If you see someone being hazed on the street, practically no clothes on, liquor shoved down their throats, would you stop? Or would you walk on by and say, "That's none of my business."

If a homeless woman is being a Good Samaritan and politely asks for someone to call an ambulance for an injured man, would you do it? Or would you ignore her pleas?

I remember a few weeks ago when we went to the Art Museum for Relief Society, I saw the picture of the Good Samaritan and sat down with a Bible and read the scriptural references that went along with the painting. I absolutely LOVE the story of the Good Samaritan. It is in essence, what a true disciple of Christ would do. We are asked to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, watch over the fatherless. So as a Disciple of Christ, I promise that I will do all in my power to comfort those who are in need of comfort and to be a friend to those who are in need. The only way I will not complete a task is if I feel prompted to do otherwise.

I challenge you to observe others and find ways to serve. Model your lives after our Savior, Jesus Christ.
