So yesterday was the first legit day back to Church in my ward.
In Relief Society, Taylor played the song, "For Our Day" which is about the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. And I absolutely LOVE that song! So she asked for feedback, and of course, I had to say something. The line, "For our day when people hunger, for our time, when good men wander..." That is such a powerful line!!! People are all over the world waiting to hear about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and they don't know where to find it. How awesome it must be to serve a mission and teach people the things that you know. The Book of Mormon changes lives. It powerfully testifies of Jesus Christ and his Atonement and love for all mankind. It has the power to uplift, inspire, encourage, and provide comfort. I have used it many times when I am searching for one of life's greatest answers. The answer sometimes comes in the form of a verse, a chapter, a line, or even just a word or the feeling that I get while I'm reading. I don't read it as often as I should-- (Slacker! I know.) But it is an amazing book and we are so privileged to have it on the Earth today.
Skipping to something else concerning the gospel, I have a Korean roommate who is here in Utah studying at the ELC (English Language Center). She was asking about the Holy Ghost last night and what it is and my other roommate was like, can you explain it to her? So as I was eating my cheese sandwich, I told her about the Holy Ghost. She's taken two discussions with the missionaries, which is awesome! But she doesn't know if she wants to come to church yet or not. Understandable. Anyway, the feeling that I get when I tell people about the gospel is such a good feeling. It makes me want to serve a mission. I've still got a little while to think about that. I'm not saying that I'm going to decide to go on a mission right now and tell everyone that, but we'll just see what happens.
On a side note, I hate dreams because they stick with you throughout the day. If they are really good you think about them all the time and wonder why the heck can't they be true. So I will be suffering all day long thinking about this stupid dream that I had that I wish was actually REAL! Bye!
