I just realized while I was looking at my walls that I decorate like my personality.
Which reminds me of high school. My walls at the time of high school totally reflected who I was. My Academic Letter was on my mirror, my band medals or student of the month medal was on the mirror, I had pictures of the temple and New Era posters on my walls. I loved the beach at one time, way too much if you ask me, so I had a sea shell collection in this net above my window. Then there was the time when I wanted to be like the high school girls on TV who did their makeup in their bedroom so my make up bag and chair was at my dresser.
Now, my walls have photographs of trips home and family members. Friends that I made during Freshman year and the things that I am involved with now. My Humor U magnet, because I go to their shows all the time, my Y Group Leader trainer tag because I love BYUSA and I can't throw that away, my key chain with my initial on it and the whistle from Point Mallard because it reminds me of that summer I worked the slides. Jewelery on thumbtacks because there is no other way to store it and I love jewelery. A calendar because I'm always busy, certain things from Elders' letters because I write missionaries now, there are books and movies in my shelf a picture of Christ saying you are never alone. Bright colored dots because those colors attract me. If you saw my side of the room I guarantee you it reflects very much so how I am today.
Down to the tee. I always make my stuff look like it came out of a magazine, with the different catalogs overlapping at a certain diagonal degree. And if it's in a mess you can bet that my life is chaotic at the moment.
It reminds me of high school. I never picked things that were just pretty to put on a wall. Everything had value to me and it was a symbol of my personality.

Those are all really cool!! I went to your home Ward today, me and the boys and Clarissa and her family. John had is farewell talk. He did a really good job. The funnest part was getting to see your Moma!! Got to see your Ma and she gave me a hug and lots of other cousins. The Bishop was so nice, and came and shook all of our hands. It was a great day!
Aw, that's good!
I'm glad y'all had a good time.
I heard John did a good job on his talk. He'll be a great missionary.
I love our Bishop. He's a great man.
Good 'ole Ma. She's somethin ain't she.
