My Family is Forever.

You know sometimes I don't even read what I've written and I just write down a bunch of random thoughts.. But this time I am going to pay attention to what I'm writing.

I want you to know that I know the power of Families. I know they are a divine and sacred part of Heavenly Father's plan for us. How grateful I am for my parents. Even though my Dad has been gone for about 10 years now, I know he still has a part in my life and probably is around me and Mom more than we even realize it. I am so glad that he was the kind of Father that took the time to get to know me and took up time with me to go arrowhead hunting and teach me how to appreciate nature. Mom tells me that I'm a lot like him, I kind of like it.
But I'm a lot like my Mom too. There is no way that I could manage the things that I've gone through without her. We have been through a lot of things together, I've come to think of her as my Mother and my Best Friend. I tell her things that I don't tell anyone else, I call her every day just to say one sentence and then I hang up and find myself calling her again 30 minutes later.
See what college does to you? It's so much easier to walk in the room next to you to talk to your Mom but when you're out at school you can't do that!!

I can not even begin to tell you how much I love my parents. I have a testimony that Families are Forever. If we keep the Lord's commandments and honor the covenants we have made, we will all be able to reunite with each other in the eternities. There is so much more work to be done in the world!! Somehow the message has got to get out that Families are essential in the world. How else will children know how to respect others and how to be law abiding citizens?
It's in the family where these truths are taught, it's in the home where children are first taught how to be citizens, how to be respectful and courteous to others.

Be an influence in the world, tell others how much your family means to you and how they have shaped you into the person you are today!!

Jessica, I love reading your blog. You are an amazing young woman, and wise beyond your young years. I know that many many great things will happen in your life. You will be a fabulous mother teaching your little children the gospel one day. Keep working hard...I know that you will! take some more pics of snow and the mountains and post when you have time. I agree you have some great parents. I love your momma!
